Land Rover 2010 reviewed

Land Rover 2010 reviewed

Land Rover’s keep getting better and better.  The 2010 Chicago Land Rover LR4 is no exception.  With a spiced up interior and improved on and off-road features, this is one great ride!

I decided visit my Chicago used Land Rover dealer and take it for a little spin.  Let me tell you, my test drive was a lot of fun!  To start with, the interior is a lot nicer than the LR3.  The inside has been reworked.  The 2010 model’s inside is very luxurious, but still feels “down to earth”.  I really like the sunroof that has 3 glass panels.  I love the feel of natural sunlight flooding it’s way into the Chicago Land Rover!

Land Rover in 1947

Land Rover in 1947

Over the past 60 years, Land Rover has been developing and changing their great vehicles.  Let’s take a look at how new and used Range Rover Chicago models have changed over the years.

In 1947, the idea of a Land Rover vehicle was born.  It was just after the war and the technical director for Rover Vehicles, Maurice Wilkes, caught wind that people were interested in a military type 4 X 4.  So, in 1948 the very first Land Rover went on display at the Amsterdam Motor Show.  It was made of aluminum and the body paint was left over from a fighter plane factory.  It also had a lightweight chassis and four wheel drive.  In fact, a used Range Rover Chicago model from 2007 that I recently came across still had the 4 wheel drive.  I guess they got something right early on!

2010 Range Rover Sport is just right

2010 Range Rover Sport is just right

Chicago Range Rover dealerships are proud to have the 2010 Range Rover Sport on lots to sell you now!  This powerful, supped up luxury SUV has so much character!

This SUV is meant for on and off road driving.   Up for debate, would you take a luxury SUV on dirt trails, rocky paths, and the like?  For the money you pay?  Some will say of course, some an adamant “no”!  Whatever your preference, the RR Sport has capabilities that make it stand out off road!

One characteristic of the Range Rover Chicago is the suspension that lets the vehicle be lowered or raised about 2 inches.  A must have feature when your Range Rover is off the beaten path, literally!  Another amenity is the navigation system with off road tracking.  Perfect, since those mountain trails are not marked with handy street signs!

The Range Rover Sport has been redesigned with a cleaner, sportier looking exterior.  In looking at photos, the front bumper is smoother and more modern, making it stand out in the LR bunch.  Also, the new LED headlights are a plus.  I love the bluish hue they give off!  This SUV is sitting at your Chicago Range Rover dealership beckoning you to come and take a test drive!

Powertrain wise, this RR Sport is very good.  The base model is made with a V8, 500 HP engine.  That’ll get some good cruising power on the open highways!  There is also the option of a supercharged SUV.  It comes with around 510 HP.  Both models’ engines are designed to maximize torque and power throughout the SUV.  Also, the 6 speed transmission is a smooth one.  Looks like Tata Motors has made this Range Rover Chicago one awesome SUV!

As you would expect with the price, the interior is amazing too!  There is a lot of attention to detail with European leather used for trimming the headliner, door and pillar casings.   There is also new lighting used to illuminate the cabin and natural wood is found in certain places too!

It’s clear, the Range Rover Sport is a great SUV if you’ve got the funds to invest in it!  Head to your Chicago Range Rover dealership as soon as you can and find out more!

A Range Rover fully loaded: shotguns and alcohol included

Range Rover + Shotguns + Alcohol =  huh???  Yes, you read the title right!  There is a Limited Edition Range Rover coming with those items and so much more.

A supercharged, Limited Edition, Chicago 2010 Land Rover is in the works to be distributed.  There will only be around 100 of these produced to be sold annually in the US, so if you’re lusting for one after reading some info about it, call your Chicago Range Rover dealership for more information.

Holland and Holland and Overfinch are teaming up for this fully loaded Range Rover.  Who are these guys, you might ask?  Holland and Holland is a major gun and rifle maker in England and Overfinch are the guys who customize your used Range Rover Chicago.

This supped up Range Rover will be patterned after the 2010 Range Rover HSE.  A high-powered engine will make it’s way into the LE model.  It will be just over 500 HP and have a V8, naturally aspirating engine.  This will allow for one powerful, fun filled cruise around town!

The Chicago 2010 Land Rover will come with some heavy duty tires, and the option of four colors.  One option is a two-toned paint job and another is a “Tintern Green”.  The Overfinch and Holland and Holland Logos will also be found on the front bumper of the SUV!

So, where do the guns and booze come in, you are probably wondering right about now?!?  The Range Rover comes with a type of “cupboard” that has 3 drawers that have custom handcrafting.   In the drawers is where you’ll find “Holland & Holland crystal tumblers and flutes, shotguns, a cleaning kit for them as well as cartridges and the bag in which to carry them”.

Overfinch is going to provide a lucky owner of one of these vehicles a year’s supply of premium spirits!  The list includes:Pol Roger Champagne, Balvenie single malt whisky, Hendrick’s single batch gin, Ivan the Terrible luxury vodka and Willow Spring Water.  These are found in a center console that can sit 4 people.

Man, my used Range Rover Chicago didn’t come with guns and alcohol, but it’s still a great SUV!  It is not clear right now which, if any, Chicago Range Rover dealerships may be lucky enough to sell one of the LE’s, but they do have a great selection of other new and used Range Rovers.

Land Rover offsets 100% of manufacturing CO2 emissions

Land Rover is a perfect illustration of a car maker that really cares about the environment.  They’ve become the first auto maker to “voluntarily offset 100 percent of its CO2 emissions from manufacturing and assembly.”  Now, when you are driving around your newly purchased Chicago 2010 Land Rover, you can feel proud knowing it’s from a manufacturer that respects nature!

What Land Rover has done is donate the proceeds they’ve received from reducing emissions to programs that help the environment.  These programs educate people to find ways to reduce energy costs, in turn using the extra money for food, education, and other services.

Sounds like it is time to visit your Land Rover dealer in Chicago to see the newest selection of vehicles…….A model available for purchase is the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover HSE SUV.  This is a great SUV to own and it truly worth the price.  The HSE’s engine was designed by Jaguar Land Rover and has a 5.0 L, V8 engine as it’s base.  As a base, this rocks- a 5 liter, v8 engine would be on a supercharged model in a lot of lines, but the Range Rover Chicago comes standard with it!   In fact, this HSE model does come supercharged..The supercharged engine allows the SUV to go from 0 to 60 in just under 6 seconds- pretty good for a large SUV!

This Chicago 2010 Land Rover is made with exterior improvements.  Land Rover has headlights that are LED and a new grille with 2 bars.  You’ll also notice the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned.  On the HSE’s front, you’ll see wider fenders and smoother look.  On the back, LR has engineered a new bumper design mirror.

As we all know, the Range Rover Chicago can be used for off-road adventures too.  With this being a luxury SUV with a higher sticker price, I am not sure I would want to rough it in this vehicle?  But, if those back trails are still your passion, this LR is a great choice.  For the 2010 model,  Land Rover has updated the Terrain Response System.   If you are driving on soft sand, the system is better equipped for drive-away (i.e. makes it easier).  The wheels will also be prohibited from digging down into the sand due to “speed-dependent wheel-slip targets”.

I hope that this information has swayed your decision to visit a Land Rover dealer in Chicago as soon as possible!
